Evy is a qualified Indian Head Massage Therapist, she is also fully trained in Dermalogica products and is one of the few therapists in Edinburgh working with the sought after MD Formulation skin rejuvenating system.
Evy prefers to work with natural products that work in unison with the skin’s own process of protection & renewal.
More about Evy
Evy has always led a healthy lifestyle. Aroma Therapy was something that had always (stuck out) to her. So it was only natural that this interest is what prompted her to dive into the world of health & beauty at the age of 30. Evy obtained her diplomas through the Mary Reid International School of Beauty. She is able to practise all over the world and she has (done so). Before making Scotland her home, she practiced in both Singapore & Holland- running her own salon in the latter for 3 years.
I asked Evy what her favourite ‘health benefiting treatment’ is & her answer is massage. After obtaining her diploma in massage from Mary Reid, Evy took the next few years to obtain various progressive massage techniques through the Jing Institute of advanced Massage Training, some of which include Indian Head massage & Pregnancy Massage Therapy.
After working at Mullberry House & Chi, on George Street, Evy (escaped) the noise of the New Town & moved to Nevo Health & Beauty in 2007- a central yet relaxing location which is more flattering to her services.
Evy continues to educate herself in the most up to date treatments, including Dermalogica. She feels that the Facial is the most underestimated treatment around.
We women have been known to pay an arm & a leg per month getting our hair done, then our hair just grows out & the whole process must be repeated! Evy believes ( and so do I now) that your skincare plan can be so much less expensive, yet so much more effective.
When taking care of one’s skin Evy knows that you must begin on the inside, nurturing & regenerating skin growth. This achievs real and long lasting results- not just temporary ones, such as Dermabrasion, which will only last for 4-5 weeks.
A good bit of advice:
Your skin care should not last more than 1 minute in the morning & 1 at night otherwise you really cant be bothered. Your skin care regime should be like a wardrobe- you build it up gradually.
